Be Still: A poem by Rev Carolyn Hamilton-Kuby
I was inspired to write a poem to send your way. I’m wishing you and everyone at CSMC a very Merry Christmas and here’s to a blessed 2022.

BE STILL
Collective voices join in thanks for providence bestowed
Amid these times of trial and pain, they’ve felt the warmth in cold.
As other voices cry aloud, “My God, there’s so much fear
There’s sadness, too, throughout the world, we’re wondering – are you here?”
“Oh yes, loved ones,” is whispered back, “I’m here – will always be,
I’ve been with you along your path; be still – just look, you’ll see.
I AM LIGHT – and can be found – in dark nights with star-shine,
as sunrays break through clouds of gray, hope brightens hearts and minds.
I AM LOVE – and can be found – in kindness that surrounds
Received from others, given by you, in small ways and profound.
I AM FLOW – and can be found – in nature’s beauty true
Seasons change, and so does life, with each sunrise anew.
I AM PEACE – and can be found — in stillness deep within
Throughout life’s storms, anchor down, that’s where true calm begins.
I AM JOY – and can be found – in moments of delight
When people are respected – accepted, free from strife.
I AM STRENGTH – and can be found – in times you feel great challenge
I help you find courage within and bring all back in balance.
Oh yes, loved ones, I’m right here – have been – will always be,
I’ve been with you along your path; be still – just look, you’ll see.
