Leadership Team
Paula Caldwell
Chief Governing Official
Paula Caldwell has a deep knowledge of church policy and her connection to the CSMC clergy members is impressive. Paula loves touching base with ministers and finding out what is new in their ministry work and their personal lives. Her steadying hand will keep us focused as we continue to grow the church.
Before joining our church staff in 2012, Paula was in management with a large Canadian corporation. During that time, she provided analysis and direction to a wide variety of individuals and management teams from the public, government and non-profit sectors.
When Paula is away from the keyboard, she will most likely be found hiking on a back country trail, paddling her kayak in the local waters, or touring the backroads with her husband on their motorbikes. Married since 1978 to her best friend Les, she has a deep respect for the sanctity of all relationships, human or animal.

Trevor Burgess
Executive Administrator
We are pleased to announce that Trevor Burgess has joined the office team at Clergy Support Memorial. Trevor will support the applications of new members and the needs of our current team in their ministry work.
Trevor and his wife Deborah have recently relocated to the Sudbury area and are looking forward to northern life. With over 30 years experience and knowledge in management and administration, Trevor can tackle almost any challenge you care to send his way. He is a problem solver, a great listener, and is able to quickly understand the details of an issue and respond with a smile. Before CSMC, he was working in a community-facing position and connecting local people with services and benefits.
A fitness enthusiast for all his life, Trevor has been a volleyball player, a Taekwondo fighter and a Tough Mudder. These days, its enough to do some paddleboarding and trail hiking. He has been a Habs fan since the age of six.

Rev Ed Montano
Theologian/counsellor
Ed joined CSMC in 2019. He came to us with many years of experience in both the corporate and ecclesiastical worlds. He holds a Master of Divinity from Saint Paul University in Ottawa and also has many years of pastoral ministry, currently serving as a hospital chaplain. Ed is also building a home church congregation, offering services in English and Spanish.
Ed has played an important role in extending CSMC’s training programs through the Canadian Ministers Institute. Though no longer working as many hours with the CSMC office, he remains committed to assisting clergy who have experienced bullying and other forms of abuse within their denominational framework and continues to advise staff and members on matters related to theology and discerning a path to ordination.
Ed is married to his best friend, Tracy, and has two adult children. Ed and Tracy are very musical, with Ed playing drums and guitar, and also enjoying singing. When Ed’s not making music, playing cards or trivia, he can be found on a golf course, though not quite on the PGA tour.
