Mussett, Belinda Jane – Peacefully at home on Thursday, January 7th, 2021 in her 62nd year. Belinda Mussett (Ballard) of Renfrew, Ontario, beloved wife of Christopher Mussett. Loving mother of Jennifer Lalonde-Mask (Duane) of Waterdown, Ontario, Christopher Lalonde (Cheryl) of Newmarket, Ontario, Lindsey Lalonde (Stephane Rondeau) of Ottawa, Ontario and stepmother to Geoffrey Mussett (Lauren) of Toronto, Ontario. Dear sister to the late Timothy Ballard and survived by her sisters, Rebecca Cardwell (Fred) of Charlottesville, Virginia, and Penelope (Todd) Williams of Grand Prairie, Alberta. Former wife of Randy Lalonde of Renfrew, Ontario. Predeceased by her parents, William (Harvey) Ballard and Wendy Ballard. Belinda will also be sadly missed by her nine grandchildren (Abigail, Kailyn, Nathaniel, Alexis, Isabella, Lucas, Natalia, Eva, and Jackson) who loved and cherished her deeply. She will also be missed by her nieces, nephew and her extended Medieval and Renaissance Faire family and friends all over the USA.
Belinda was well known in the floral industry as she continued to operate her mother’s flower shop for over 15 years as Manotick Florists. With her social work background, every floral arrangement she prepared for her customers, she made with love and compassion. She will be deeply missed by the floral community.
The family would like to give a special thank you to her nurses, Pattie and Kerry and the Personal Support Workers, Denise, Jeanne, Connie, and Joanne at Bayshore HealthCare for the wonderful care they provided to her during her long battle of ALS.
Belinda will be cremated and laid to rest in Ottawa, Ontario at the Pinecrest Cemetery in the spring. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a service will be held at a later date.
